Roy Vliese is of counsel associated to Fox and Suurenbroek. He is a specialist in payroll tax and advises both national and international clients. He has extensive experience in the M&A practice and employee benefit schemes in both national and cross-border situations. He has extensive experience in assisting clients in their dealings with the Tax and Customs Administration. Litigation is also part of his field of activity. As a board member of the payroll tax section of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers, he regularly comments on legislative proposals.
After studying tax law at the University of Amsterdam, he specialised in payroll taxes. In 1994, he started his career as a departmental coordinator of payroll taxes at the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration. Since 1997, he has worked as a payroll tax specialist at KPMG Meijburg & Co and Deloitte. In addition to his work for the NOB, he is a member of Nyenrode Business University’s Core Group Introduction to Wages Tax, VAT, General Tax Act 1990 and Collection Act 1990.
